awsXplorer for Visual Studio

awsXplorer is a feature-rich Visual Studio extension for managing Amazon Web Services (S3, SimpleDB, SQS, EC2, CloudFront) conveniently inside the IDE.

Amazon SimpleDB

  • Create and delete domains.

Installation instructions

  • Close all running instances of Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Run awsXplorer installer, follow the instructions and complete the installation.
  • Open Microsoft Visual Studio and go to View » Other Windows » awsXplorer or press Ctrl-W, Y to open the awsXplorer tool window.
  • Right-click on "Accounts" to add an Amazon Web Services account.

System Requirements

  • Operating System:
    Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista, Windows 2008 (R2) Server, Windows 7 or later.
  • Visual Studio:
    Visual Studio 2008 Standard or higher with .NET 3.5 (awsXplorer for Visual Studio 2008) or Visual Studio 2010 Professional or higher with .NET 4 (awsXplorer for Visual Studio 2010).

    awsXplorer is licensed per-user. You can install it on any number of your machines provided you are the only user of the product.

    The license is perpetual, e.g. you get all major and minor updates free of charge for the lifetime of the product.
